iLAND (Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Art, Nature and Dance) is a dance research organization that investigates the power of dance, in collaboration with other fields, to illuminate our kinetic understanding of the world.
iLAND is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a fundamental commitment to environmental sustainability as it relates to art and the urban context. We cultivate cross-disciplinary research among artists, environmentalists, scientists, urban designers and other fields.
First established to support the work of Artistic Director Jennifer Monson, iLAND now extends its support to other creative researchers by offering iLAB Residencies and inviting cross-disciplinary dialog and research through the annual iLAND Symposium.
We are currently working to expand our online resources and are engaged in developing the iLAND Method, a tool box for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
